Liberian Lawyers in US Speak On Chuckie Taylor Case... News_574 Torture Has No Place in Liberia and Perpetrators Must Not Be Allowed to Take Shelter in Free Societies

It is almost 6 years now since the armed conflict in Liberia that took away the lives of over 250,000 Liberians and residents of Liberia and much property has come and gone. Actors in this conflict are charged with the responsibility of committing the crimes of rape, extra-judicial killings, torture, and in some cases, the burning alive to death of Liberians and residents of Liberia by warlords and their associates. Nearly, all the warring parties and their leaders are accused of bearing the greater responsibility for committing war crimes, crimes against humanity and the torturing of their victims in the Republic of Liberia. Sadly, after this armed conflict, the warlords and their collaborators are yet to face justice and account for their destructive deeds.
