For readers who have visited Liberia recently, and or familiar with Liberian politics, you will notice that Liberia under President Sirleaf is missing an important ingredient in its quest for nation building. Ours is a patriotism-starved state. Even if you try to ignore this fact, the inequality that it is causing holds your attention in complete disbelief. You cannot ignore the volumes of social problems that are brewing or exacerbating under the Sirleaf administration. Because to do so is to forget that it will take decades to fix the problems they are heaping on top of the ones that the TWP, the dictators, interim presidents, and warlords caused.
