Jusus did say He didnt come for the Saved, but rather the sinners

also, its importatnt to note that no one is without sin, the Bible says for we have ALL sinned and come short of the glory of God. now, as a Good Sherpard, what woukld you do if you had a potential Sheep? or a wayward sheep? would you castigate and drive the sheep away or counsel and cajole to getting the sheep to see the light?

what does the Bible say in the parable about the sheparad and the many sheep and one of his sheep got missing ? he went after that sheep.

its things like these that really push people away.
the whole idea of utting peopel in church on "sinners bench" is not good at all.

however, i also see what AJ is saying. there are some people who delibratley dress provocatively and go to chuch with the sole intent at flirting and teasing. but, to me, i think they should be left with their conscioues.

and thats ALL that matters.

Well if the guy provoked some kind of confrontation, then I'll moderate, but if he did not provoke anything I stand by what I said

the problem seem to be people now believe that the clothing on your body signifies if you're truely going to worship Christ.. rather then the state of your heart to fully grasp the sermon and teaching of the Lord's words.

don't get my comment wrong with that of people coming to church almost naked cuz the problem with that is the indecency and the distraction it will and lusting it will cause amongst the other members. if churches start throwing out potential members for studd earring being worn by a male then how do the hope to win enough souls for christ? first bring the man in and then cautiously explain to him what the scripture or our moral requirements says about men wearing earring to service. it may just be a rule of that particular church so whoever decides to worship there will have to make that choice.

Fortunately or unfortuantely, it was a wee bit more than just the dress...or the earring.

I remember when the jeans below the ass came around.... I was in 9th grade ... I never like it and I still don't .....People my age still hang their jean below their asses....

Of course people can change their stands when provided with sufficient information….we are reacting to what you give us in that video…if you had laid out the beef of the beef, maybe our reactions would have differ…so we wait for more information on the incident….As far as I can see, he was dressed appropriately for Church, I was looking for a sagging pants and didn’t see it…he looks like he may have had his hair braided, and I heard the pastor said “we won't allow someone to sing in church wearing an earring”….so provide more beef….and now I feel you won’t be objective in your piece…

I got the TRC thing out the way and I am calling the pastor today so he can tell me more. I was only going to write about the Video and what I saw, but now I will have to call him or go to him today...so tomorrow...the debate about whether you still want be or you dont wanna bee...

Instead of worry about the way someone looks, the church should first get rid of the philandering preachers, then the gay choir director, then get rid of the rest of us because NO ONE is clean and blameless in the sight og God except Christ.

The pants were at his knees....he pulled them up like usual when you sag. Remember now, I am not taking sides here. I am presenting the video the way I see it. To be frank too, I was stunned and held my camera in my hand for a moment after .....let me just say it this way....

From where I originate, I would not have handled it the way the kid did. But we are all products of our environments....

That was not the issue....

This church recently got rid of the choir director who was sleeping with a member of the praise and worship....it was against church and of course bible policy for that to happen. He was put on "excommunication" leave...

I will say this once.... we live in a society that have laws and norms


I don’t care what the majority say or how the majority feels about me but I need to live with them that mean I will judge by them everyday… so I learn to coop with them…

GET this: Lawrenceville, GA 30044 pass a law .... no body, at any time should be seen wearing their paints below the ass (to the point where your ass is out)

maybe we need that law to cover our churches ....

This is not my church, I was there to cover mother's day activities and the video fell in my lap....

We didn't see the pants sag in the video....It may be like all Youtube clips, where people react to the 2 seconds soundbits without getting the whole scope...now you are telling us the man's pants was at his knees?... ...come on....I was a youth cordinator at Church for two years...my youth pastors used to dressed up like gangsters with cigarrettes behind their ears to illustrare and we allowed these kids to come as they were and minister...they had rap groups which was a papular thing with young people and they would dress like rappers...yet we did have a level of standard and lines they could not crossed...so I have dealt with it....I hope to read your story, and hope you can get hold of the young man also to get his side of the story...not just the Pastor's....
