| SPECIAL FOR LIB VIL: Young Liberian went to church with this one group to sing some song, but was totally improperly dressed for the occasion. The pastor noted that the message in the dress was not correct so the young man would not be allowed to sing.
The video here shows him throwing a fit while he is being put outside. He wanted to fight, to force the song, but was escorted outside by mighty angels.
You saw it here first: https://s149.photobucket.com/albums/s77/shpeabody/?action=view¤t=1814057a.pbr

Because they're ignorant hypocrits, I mean really I don't see the issue with what he had on. Some people are so caught up in image till they forget common sense and principles that they're representing. Lot of us Africans can do stuff just to be doing it and don't understand why.

| Big Question.....What Would Jesus Do?....kick this young man out of the church because he's wearing an earing?....This is some of the shit that is making me stay home on sundays these day's...the hypocrisy in many of these churches is too blatant and younger people seem to be the most victimized by it. I have a friend who ushers in the church for the last 10 years I have known him, and he rocks a stud...at first some holier-than-thou critics wanted to make noise, but the Pastor saw beyond the young man's outward appreace and knew he had a zeal for serivce and ministry...some of us who don't wear studs do worst things than those who do...I who don't wear earings refused to serve in any ministry even as hard as everyone down to the pastors tried to get me involved...
They casted him out from ministering onto the lord because he was wearing a earing...in the Name of Liberian Culture, not in the name of Jesus....

The Pastor said becuase he was wearing an "earing"... so he could not sing onto the Lord...gadyu, you should do a story on this...not take sides, but give an objective look at this incident...that would be more noble of you.

Yes please use our views. That young man's dress was not sinful. Plenty of them in the church dresssing the 'correk' way and commit all kinds of sins. All the overeating they can do after church, that not sin? Plenty of them not taking care of their bodies, that is sinful. Judging that young man was sinful. Gossiping about the young man is sinful. Shaming him infront of everyone during service is offensive, when he committed no sin. Principles should always override culture. What kind of Liberian culture is that, one imposed by an old colonial mindset. I mean really. I laugh when I watch church people focus image instead of substance. Image is nothing.

Imagine him excited about going to church to glorify the Lord and instead of singing praises,,,,,,, well, they threw him out! Aye mehn! Actions not in line with being a Christian. Wow! what a pastor. - DSP wrote:

| totally agree.. the clothes isn't what the pastor should be worried about but the heart of the person coming to glorify Christ. Some of these pastors do worse than just wear eartings... sad indeed. he should have asked. What would Jesus do? | |

| Well, let me disclose that the decision not to allow him to sing was done behind close doors. He could have respectfully obeyed and gone to his pew, but he elected to take the pastors podium to make his case and that is when it all blew up.... Your please dont make me tell the details before tomorrow. What kind of people are you ......lol | |

| we vex! Respectfully obey ehn? We are all God's children. The pastor know what Jesus said? Well maybe we should remind him. (and tell the pastor to learn to embrace difference and not run people away because they are not exactly like him) Luke 10:16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. - gadyu wrote:

| Let's look at it another way. Remember the lost sheep parable? If the pastor felt this young man had lost his way by putting a stud in his ear, shouldn't he embrace the man and bring him closer? Judge not lest ye be judged.
Luke 15:1-10 [1] Now the tax collectors and "sinners" were all gathering around to hear him. [2] But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them." [3] Then Jesus told them this parable: [4] "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? [5] And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders [6] and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' [7] I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. [8] "Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? [9] And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' [10] In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (I think that it is easier to bring people to Christ by acceptance; accept who they are, as they are, and God will do the rest)
