| Hi to everybody !
To start, it's my first time here so i want to great you all...
"My english not so good so forgive me in advance"
So : i'm sending used cars in Liberia since the end of the war. I'm just a small business-man, it's not a big enterprise. Everything was going on until this last week.
The company i'm working with (Grimaldi), a RORO company, said from now it's finished, no vessel going to Monrovia, no RORO only container. I asked them why ? they never wanted to answer.
So i contact others companies but it was the same answer : NO ! Carrying RORO vessel in Monrovia Freeport is becoming too dangerous ! Because of security problem, corruption, because the port doesn't offering internationnal standard and because of riot happened few time ago...?!
If someone can tell me what's happenning to Monrovia Freeport ? Wich riot ? wich problem ? do you think the NPA or the Governement is going to react and do something fast to make it change ? (Freeport was the first deep water port of west Africa... look at now!)
Now i can't send my cars there because the only way is by CONTAINER and it's too expensive for me. I know that there is more important things to think in the life of people of Liberia but... Let me talk true : All the money i was making, i invested all in LIBERIA. It was not too big but it was...
And when Ellen Johnson Sirleaf asking the diaspora to come back and invest in their country of origin, she better look around the 2 door of entry (Freeport and RIA) if everything is correct. Nothing is correct !
Sorry but 5 years after the end of the war the citizens, the diaspora, the foreigners, the investors and the local market are still suffering from the bureaucracie.
Now i think i'm going to turn to San pedro in Ivory Coast but all the custom fees going inside the pocket of Ivorian Custom and not Liberian. After it will be easy for me to cross the border and sell my things in Liberia to the black market. Free of Duty !!!
Before doing that i really hope for the things to change in Freeport because my adoption's country is LIB and no other !
Thanks for reading, i great you all. And if somebody can answer me i will be happy because i don't know what's happenning there. Bye.

Yeah it's true i have to take it easy and be patient... Anyway i'm not playing my life on this business. But you know, i really want everything to go fast because i like your country so much, it make me crazy when i see everything spoiled like that. And some people there are depending on me, i can feel bad about it. I'm gonna wait for 6 months to see if things change to the port. Thank you.

| My brother or sister i understand yor frustration. While CG is trying to sugarcoat the situation on the ground, it is no secret that this Gov is not during anything to upgrade the Freeport and RIA with tax payer money. They are waiting for UN or Donor countries. Is that how we are going to live. Keep begging while our citizens continue to suffer. If u can lead then get out of the way yah.
If Gov doesn't have money to run these institution then they should privatize them so that it can reach international standard. Privatize and regulation on the part of GOV willcreate more jobs and help our people.
My brother and sister don't worry..the true leadership will come to Liberia one of these days..

The real sons and daughters who have the masses at heart will run that country and change the living standard of the people one day. Liberia has a lot of money and resources for it citizens to suffer. They told us that democracy couldn't work in Liberia and it did. We achieve it with vigilance and determination. This is the time for economic prosperity and zero tolerance for corruption. Take for instant, LTC is grounded and there are nothing being done my GOV to get that place back on course. I worked at LTC after college and i know what that company can do for the overall development of that country. People don't want to open LTC because they say it will put the cell phone companies out of business. What a silly idea. Privatize LTC and other companies so that the basic engine of an economy can start moving if GOV can manage them. The time for big GOV is over and Liberia need a new leadership that will put the Liberian people to work my friends.

who they for true my dear cuz what really is the government Bellah. is it Ma Ellen alone or a composition of folks from various parties. remember CDC won more representative seats than any other party now.. but back tothe issue... I know for fact on the RIA issue efforts has been made to revamp that but when i got a board that wont see reason not to mention that it was establish by our former commander in chief thats now on a vacation in the Hage... and to make matters worse every good effort cant be automativally change by the Pres but most go thru the house of Rep and Senate u get tired with the plenti BS after a while... so yeah... let the new ones come in so we can see some changes
