The National Association of Cape Mountainians in Americas (NACA) has concluded its 5th Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, electing Mr. Willie Givens, Jr., as its new National President. By a vote of two to one, Mr. Givens, one of the county’s prominent sons, defeated Lao Sherman, President of the Georgian Chapter. Others elected at the well organized NACA 5th Annual Convention in Lawrenceville (Metro Atlanta), Georgia on Saturday October 11, 2008 were--Chief Bai-Dordor Karneh, President of the New England Chapter as National Vice President; Dr. H. Momo Fahnbulleh, the organization’s former National Vice President as Secretary General; Gardea V. Woodson, Secretary of the Delaware Valley Chapter as National Assistant Secretary General, and Mrs. Lucille D. Harvey, Treasurer of the Georgia Chapter as National Treasurer.
