I read your article and was impressed with your analysis and explanations for the current meltdown. However, you failed to expand further on the implications for developing economies like Liberia, especially one desperately trying to recover from many years of conflict. I think official direct assistance (ODA) from the US to developing nations will be reduced considerably, as was reflected in a statement by John McCain during the recent presidential debate.
