(Monrovia-Liberia-Sept 1, 08)- The Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf led-government is not taking lightly recent media reports in which email exchanges bearing the names and addresses of individuals in and out government allegedly discussing shady deals involving government’s pending negotiations with the Liberian Maritime Registry (LISCR), Press Secretary Cyrus Badio emphasized today at a regular press briefing. Secretary Badio disclosed that the Liberian government is soliciting the support and assistance of the United States government to assist in establishing the facts surrounding the allegations. Mr. Badio said the President considers the allegations very seriously, prompting her seeking of assistance from the appropriate US agencies to establish the veracity of the allegations.
