SILCA Celebrates July 26...Praises Miss Liberia, USA

The Staten Island Liberian Community Association (SILCA), in partnership with its Ministerial Alliance, hosted an intercessory service on Sunday July 27, 2008, to observe Liberia’s 161st Independence anniversary. A press release signed by vice president Telee Brown revealed that Rev. Thomas Assumana Kamara of the International Christian Fellowship, in an Independent Day message on Sunday, called on Liberians to stop the hatred and fighting and begin the process of rebuilding their war-torn country. Rev. Kamara delivered his message at the New Life Church where he urged Liberians to break away from the long-term tenet of evil and reunite for the betterment of their people back home in Liberia.
