The Spirit of April 12, 1980

By
Dortu-Siboe Doe aka Jake Doe

Dedicated to the eternal and gallant memories of The Historic
17, Didwo Tweh, Du Fahnbulleh, Albert Porte, Baccus Matthews, Marcus
Gbobeh, D.k. Wonsealay, Kollie Tamba, and all those armless civilians
who were shot and killed by the TWP Tyranny on April 14, 1979

The Spirit of April 12, 1980, in fulfiling its purpose of inter alia
redeeming the Liberian people from the cruel inustices and undemocratic
shackles of the TWP-Congau tyrannical apartheid shall forever be
cherished and remembered as the best thing that ever happend to Liberia
since our founding fathers...those who came and those whom they met, and
founded what is today the State of Liberia under international law
within the comity and community of nations!

Yes!It was the Spirit of April 12, 1980, which has erected and
guaranteed the equality of the 95 percent of the population...the
indigenous Liberians equality under the law and the existence of
fundamntal human rights which were wrongly and wickedly only enjoyed by
the tiny minority...the congau people. Oh yes! It was the Spirit of
April 12, 1980, which ensured that basic human rights are superior to
the interests of the TWP, Liberian Congau tyrants, their familes, and
of course the Masonic Craft, and even the State!

Heaven yes! It was the Spirit of April 12, 1980, which ensured that the
right to vote and to be voted into office irrespective of being
Indigenous or Congau were far far far superior, basic, and played a
greater role that owning property before exercising such rights! Yes, it
was the Spirit of April 12 felt by the indigenous segment of the
Army....The Patriots, and also felt in their politically minded
bretheren....the Progressives which awakened the political consciousness
of our Nation vis a vis those democratic values which are the God-given
rights of all peoples, but were trampled on, but only enjoyed by the 5
percent Congau batch of our homeland.

Oh yes, we feel the Spirit of April 12, telling us it was him...the
Spirit of April 12 which educated the ignorant and selfish minds of our
Congau brethren that in the liberal cannon or in any democratically
civilized society or nation, the political pyramid and the Presidency
are not the ownership of the Congaus and their decendants, but rather,
for any Liberian who has the towering potentiality and actuality to
freely and fairly win the votes through the ballot boxes!

Oh man, we can feel the Spirit of April 12 in our bones....reminding us
that it was the Spirit of Aprl 12, ON FIRE in the Historic 17 and the
Masses in unison with God which could not wait any longer in freeing the
95 percent of the population of Liberia the Indegenous Liberians from
the FETTERS OF UNCHECKED STATE POWER , CONGAU RULE AND SEMI-APARTHEID
SYSTEM!

Compatriots....both Indegenous, and Congau decendants, do not forget to
let your children and their children's children know that that it was
the Spirit of April 12 which decimated the Congau or TWP semi-apartheid
laws, policies, and practices, and found it impossible to allow any
justification of any tortious methods of collecting hut'taxes from the
95 percent majority of the nation's population which were systematized
into poverty in a booming economy for a considerable period on the
continent!

Let the word go forth from this time a place that THE SPIRIT OF APRIL 12
will always be around to ensure and guarantee that while in our
national governance and politics, we must alwys balance the rights of
the majority the rights of the minority, the majority....the
indigenous...the 95 percent of the population must never ever accept nor
agree to this "love of liberty brought us here" mentality, nor this
inferior mind-set of the likes of A.K. and foolishly stupid disposition
on the part of the likes of Emmett Dennis that the political pyramid of
Liberia and the Presidency are the sole proprietorships of the
Tolberts, Tubmans, Brumskines and the likes!

To this end, I am convinced THE SPIRIT OF APRIL 12 teaches that
Indegenous Liberians must never ever give any credence to such inferior
and foolishly-stupid idea from AK and Emmett Dennis articulated supra,
but rather, we must ensure that as the majority we remain the chief
custodians of the corridors of power through democratic means!

And that if we are ever deprived of such rights as was done Pre-1980, WE
MUST WITH VALOUR AND WITH VIGOUR, FIGHT TO REGAIN OUR MAJORITY
GOD-GIVEN RIGHTS AND DIGNITY AS THE PATRIOTS...THE INDEGENOUS HISTORIC
17 FEARLESSLY DEMONSTRATED TO THE WORLD ON APRIL 12, 1980!!!
