| Liberian Govt. Expresses Concerns About DRC Crisis...…Calls For Immediate Int’l Mediation By: Jimmey C. Fahngon (The Journal's Chief Correspondent)(Monrovia-Liberia Oct. 29, 08)-As thousands of people flee fighting in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Liberian government has called on the international community to immediately mediate in the crisis in order to end the suffering of the Congolese people. Liberia’s Foreign Minister, Olubanke King-Akerele said the Liberian government is very concerned about the deteriorating security situation in that country, emphasizing the need for the international community to move quickly in resolving the crisis. | As long as Diamond is the pivotal reason for fighting in the Congo, the war will not come to an end. The international community and the African Union need to consider Congo as a failed state and create a presence of a huge African peace keeping force that will be funded by the international community. The same for the darfur region. The force need to be given teeth to shot if shot at.... | |

Bellah you are right as long as the Peackeepers strength mandate are limited, the war in these regions will be unstoppable. | |
