Wow!!!! I am as pleased as a peach!!!

hey everyone:
i have been talking about the work we do assisting women and girls claim their rights. it has been a challenging journey, but one that i am sticking to for a long time. a couple of months back, my colleague and myself, wrote a proposal to a donor (it was damn good-lol), hoping to get $1m to work with women and girls, legal, medical and community infrastructures on an access to justice project. we worked hard for a month and came out stating that whether we got the money or not...we knew that we had put in our best.

this morning i opened my mail and saw an email from the donor-my fear was palpable. i opened it and i am still screaming with joy. we did it! f*&$, we did it!!!!

Liberia will be a better place for women and girls-ten steps at a time!
