| GQ, I have bought a copy of the book and I have almost completed reading it. It is a very interesting story. I didn't agree with some of the views of the author but overall it is a great book. | |

| That's the honest thing about the book.
And I am listening to your disagreements...
The book is a real-life scenario, and the world we live demonstrates feminism to a point where Afro-Americans/Africans trying to realize modernity - at the same time, spicing native tradition would agree with her...if change is something constent in nature.
I think it's a challenge for you (women) putting yourself in the shoes of Sarah amid the difficulties and frustration of the time.

| Mehn this book is interesting and i am almost done with it. Sarah love for Mangane was something that was real. what i couldn't understand was why she will fall in love with a marry man as an educated woman. At last when Mariama was dying she became the ultimate replacement. Ibrahim started enjoying himself.
Ibrahim was a well accomplished man. There are thing i am learning about how he live his life.

| I have already read Sarah's Psalm and i tell, the book was interesting. Ibrahim Mangane was a scholar and a family man. His writings took a PHD african american beauty Sarah from the state who at first site, fell in love with him. She took her skill and talent and promoted him big time. They got Married after Ibrahim first wife passed away in child birth. Her love for Ibrahim and his works made her to help raise first child who in the end designed a bomb that killed his father in France after he had just received the noble prize for excellent writing in literature. He was a proud African scholar who worked hard in France and build a fortune for himself in Senegal. Can't wait for the next book... | |
