Liberian Offical Pay Tribute to late Lansana Conte in Guinea News_735 Liberian Officials Pay Tribute to Lansana Conteh at Guinea Funeral
(MONROVIA-December 26, 2008): President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was among sub-regional and other African leaders attending the state funeral of the late Guinean President Lansana Conte on December 26, 2008 in Conakry, an Executive Mansion release issued to The Liberian Journal has disclosed. According the release signed by Press Secretary Cyrus Wleh Badio, the Liberian leader “extended sympathy to the bereaved family and the people of Guinea as she, along with other leaders, paid tribute and viewed the remains as a mark of respect to the late Guinean leader”.
