The National Association of Cape Mountainians in the Americas (NACA) has been told to organize and design useful development projects for the people of Grand Cape Mount County. Dr. Augustine Konneh, a Professor of History at Clark Atlanta University and Spelman College in Georgia, said for the projects to achieve their desired goals, local leaders capable of executing such must be identified and recruited. Speaking Saturday, October 11, 2008 as Guest Speaker at the 5th Annual Convention of NACA held in Lawrenceville, Georgia, at the Army National Guard Armory, Dr. Konneh, also a Cape Mountainian, explained that based on his recent visit to Cape Mount, he observed that every area has specific needs in the county.
