(Monrovia-Liberia-Oct 6, 08)-Presidential Press Secretary, Cyrus Wleh Badio, says President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf would shortly present the amount of US$100,000 to the Press Union of Liberia. The amount, Badio said, was available for the PUL headquarters’ construction project by a friend of the President through her request to support the Union’s project. However, he did not give the identity of the President’s friend who donated the amount to the PUL. Mr. Badio spoke Monday at his regular press briefing held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Monrovia. He disclosed that the President has scheduled a meeting with the leadership of the Press Union of Liberia to formally present the amount.
